Piercing only get infected if they aren't treated right.

Never get pierced by a piercing gun. They just love keeping in the bacteria.
For instance the girls @ shop only clean the area's that are going to touch your skin, but there are other nooks and cranny's that hold in skin, blood, and bacteria. Make sure when you go to a piercing shop to watch your piercer, if he has gloves on and touches something other than your jewelry mention that to them. Make sure they clean your piercing site and the tools that are being used. Even go in and ask to watch them pierce someone so you know they handle everything with care. You can always ask them how to take care of it, or look up stuff online before you go. Saline solution is always your best bet. Sometimes you can buy numbing cleaners at the piercing shop. Just be smart. (x
